Digital x-rays

Our dental practice is fully digitized. This means that all your personal dental data (X-rays, photos, etc.) remain accessible via PC in every one of our treatment rooms. How does this benefit you?

The big benefit is that each dentist is able to communicate with colleagues or other specialists directly, easily and reliably. No patient time is wasted by dentists looking through paperwork. Our digital x-ray machines, special intraoral cameras and the large monitors mounted above the patient’s chairs are of great help in examinations, and we are able to explain diagnoses to patients with reference to the screen.

The use of digital x-rays instead of dental x-ray film cuts exposure to radiation by around 80%. With pantomograms (panoramic picture), the level of radiation is only around 30% of that of older film techniques.

These are some of the important benefits for patients which digital x-rays provide:

  • Much lower exposure to radiation (up to 80%)
  • No delays waiting for films to be developed
  • More exact diagnosis (computer-aided measuring and planning)
  • Easier communication with other specialists
  • Environmental protection (creates no hazardous waste)
